PROBLEM
Gold's Gym faced the challenge of launching a new location in the highly competitive Southwest Calgary fitness market without an established local presence or brand recognition. The company needed to generate immediate awareness, drive pre-sales revenue, and build market share against well-established competitors—all while managing a complex multi-channel campaign that required coordination across design, digital advertising, and analytics teams. Leadership demanded a strategic approach that would deliver measurable ROI within a tight timeline while establishing the foundation for long-term success.

SOLUTION
As Marketing and Communications Manager, I led a cross-functional team including two marketing specialists to develop and execute a comprehensive grand opening campaign strategy. I established clear campaign objectives and KPIs, then guided my team through extensive market research targeting the affluent 25-34 demographic in Southwest Calgary. Working collaboratively, we designed a user-centric landing page optimized for lead conversion while I personally managed the creation of cohesive visual assets across all touchpoints. I strategically allocated budget across Google Ads and Meta advertising platforms, implementing A/B testing protocols and advanced analytics tracking through GA4 and Tag Manager. Throughout the campaign, I mentored my team on data-driven decision making while maintaining oversight of SEO optimization and performance monitoring to ensure we met aggressive pre-sales targets.
